New Wizarding World of Harry Potter Update
Earlier today, Screamscape announced some leaked information that the official opening day for the new Harry Potter land at Universal Orlando is June 18, 2010. They also say that their source for the leaked info claims that there will be a soft opening for the park starting May 15, 2010. Later today, Universal confirmed the official opening date as June 18, and also released more information about the newest of the rides to be featured in that section of Islands of Adventure. However, there is no confirmation about the soft opening dates, which does make sense because if they confirmed it, it wouldn’t be a soft opening!
Kylie- No!
Ugh. I love Kylie Minogue (not a major love affair, more like the way you love some celeb that you find has been quietly funding a wildlife reserve rather than parading their donations to the public- a general sort of adoration). I love Bhangra. I love Bollywood, though I don’t have much opportunity to view it, not living in a very multicultural (our idea of multi-cultural is that we have a spanish language tv station and one or two spanish radio stations) area.
But I just saw a post about Kyle Minogue singing Chiggy Wiggy. I kid you not. It makes me think of a lamer version of Jiggy With It (which was lame to start with) with a little bit of awesome music and singing thrown in with it. Seriously- who let this one through the editing shop?

Scribe SEO Is Not A Scam
But it apparently is a waste of time and money.
I’ve just read an interesting post that didn’t suit having a full post on my usual blog, but absolutely needed to have a link sent to it. So, if you’re interested in SEO, blogging, internet marketing, product reviews, or watching gurus lose it in the comment sections, follow the link to see Brian Clark threaten to sue a product reviewer over her not proclaiming that Scribe SEO is a scam. Yeesh. Talk about brand management, or lack thereof. Ya really have to wonder about a man who’s business is built on good writing, but behaves like that in a public comment stream!
Johnny Come Back To Me
I’m a little bummed out to find that the Harry Potter / John Williams connection is still broken. The rumor was that he was to come back to score the final Harry Potter movie (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), but, alas, earwax. I mean, some other guy is scoring part one. There is some hope yet for Johnny to score part 2, but I’m no longer getting my hopes up.
Dusty
Darling husband decided that what he wanted for his birthday was to have the bed moved to the opposite wall. Given that we rarely (read: almost never) dust OR vacuum, guess how I’m feeling right about now? Blech!
